Saturn V - F1 Engine Replica
7 Attachment(s)
After a bit of a hiatus on model building, I was able to finally wrap this beauty up. This is the Accurate Models 1/20 resin kit. They have created an incredible, accurate and stunning model of this engine.

I took some liberties at adding numerous pipes and such to give it a bit more depth and detail. It's something that you could go on and on adding, but I wanted just enough to utilze some of the connectors.

Everything went together very well, and the instructions on this kit were unbelievable, not to mention the amazing reference photo CD included.

I chose to paint mine in a 'fired' scheme, to depict what the engine would look like after a couple test firings.

Sean, that's amazing mate! For a guy with so little spare time, it's amazing what you can crank out.

Good to see you back. Phil and I have been discussing your absence!

Hey thanks so much for the comments Fella's!! :hail:

Mike, here's a shot of the model mid-construction with a soda can, so it gives you an idea of scale. I'll try to get one with it finished down the road here.

I'm still not finding much time to do much building, but things should be slowing down a bit and getting back into a few projects that have been waiting far too long!

Take it easy out there!

Re: Saturn V - F1 Engine Replica
I never got to add my two cents, but for what its worth, I really like the burnt coloration on the heat-exchanger collar as well.

Very nice overall!
