It's a great build - but the weathering? Mate..... sublime!

I love the hell out of that ship and that build. I'm definitely going to pick up one of those kits. I may just order one right now while I'm thinking about it - and it's all your fault

Of all things. What next?
Spoken like a true studio scale builder. We strike fear into the hearts of the 'straight' model builders everywhere!

Nice build BTW, Rider. I personally see a large scale carrier in my future sometime. I've never actually built a ship kit, but I hear it's addictive...

Aside from a basic tinker on an HMS Victory kit years ago, me neither.

Airfix's 1/600 Moskva's hull has a groove molded on the inside of the hull so that one could scribe-n-snap it and 'waterline' it.

Does the Iron Duke kit have a similar provision?

Apologies Cat. I never thought to look or take in such a detail. For what its worth I would say no as I don't recollect it having one and there is nothing on the instruction sheet to indicate such an option. All it has is a thin line embossing on the exterior to indicate the black line marking.

No prob, Rider

It didn't mention it in Moskva's instructions either... must have been a feature in an earlier release.

The "Iron Duke" is just an awesome name for a ship. It breathes "I'm coming to kick your ass" every time the name is spoken.
