Very nice work Barry----glad to see such a different take. Got mine sitting in a box since WF, and wanted do something/anything else other than what I've already seen.

Guess I need to get off my butt and pick up the pace......

Thanks.
I just hate to try what someone else has done and mine looks rubbish...
I just opened another one yesterday during my work break, and i plan on doing an "historical" paintscheme, perhaps an homage to a WWI Fighter Squadron.
For now, it's a three way split between an homage to the boeing p26a(20th pursuit group) In blue with yellow striping, The Brewster Buffalo In bare metal and yellow with the plack pinstriping over the panel lines, or an homage to a winter scheme done on the MiG-3, in the GvIAP(Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment) of the 6th Fighter Air Corps, Moscow Air Defence Zone, in a White/Red scheme.

My fave so far is the White/red of the MiG-3. It's really striking.
But i am willing to consider other schemes if you have any cool real-world alternatives(I don't fancy doing any canon schemes).

Thanks.
I have been under a lot of strain recently with my family life, and i needed to blow off a little bit of steam with this build.
I am hoping to be able to get the other one done this week.

Ahh yes, a very clever symbol.

I am new here, so thank you for your approval. I have to say how utterly amazed I am at the wonderful models here (yours included). I'm a bit out of my depth really!

I'll try to keep up with your posts...who knows there may be more images on the way!
