Default Aliens-style APC RC car

After lurking around quite some time, Bill Krause's beautiful models have convinced me to learn scratch building as well. My first one is an APC that will become the chassis for an RC car. The model started with the "spine" pieces and the sloped plane and continuer from there.

Thanks! The final model will be controlled using Arduino hardware.

Looking good Mike. I'm curious about your Arduino controller!

Thanks! It's actually fairly simple. Mainly a matter of doing a quick Instructables search for "arduino rc car" (the site also has tutorials for Bluetooth controls instead of RC frequencies) and adapting the existing code for your purposes.
In this case, most of the electronics came from a cheap 15 RC car and all that's needed on top are a better battery, a small version Arduino, a motor driver an RC receiver and some bits and pieces from my electronics parts bin (resistors, LEDs, servo for the turret, ...).

BTW: I've always loved Ron Cobb's original design, hence a few changes here and there.

BTW, you might be interested in looking into some of the stuff the R2 droid builders community has done with Bluetooth/xBee nunchuck controllers.
