Stinger masters finished and molded. Brass pylon rods mounted to keel armature. Hope to complete all major hull construction this weekend.

More work-in-progress construction pics. Cast resin stinger halves mounted to armature and hull. Upper stinger master built in styrene and placed in rubber. The port and starboard wing filets were also mastered and molded. (not pictured here). The entire hull was primed in Tamiya White which revealed the usual cavalcade of bodywork and detailing still needed to do. Next up is mastering the impulse engine frame and photon pod.

This ship just looks mean. But elegant also, but in an "I'll kick your ass" kinda way.

I believe that is the only way how one should design a starship.

Winglets! I mastered one in styrene and produced the pair in resin needed to web the stinger to the primary.

The hull is all still very rough. Lots of bodywork and panel lines to clean her up remain before moving on to the main drives and pylons. Additionally, an impulse shroud need fabricated to cap the end of the stinger butt. The photon pod will be last before final priming.

Skipped the impulse and photon build and forged into pylon and nacelle assembly. Here's some pics for anyone interested:

^ Agreed. Thank you for taking the time to bring such wonderful ships to life. I always loved this era and was a big fan of the guides when I was younger.

There's not a lot to show at the moment Griff but here's a quick progress shot of the styrene impulse engine master.

I have a request of sorts. When you have these lovely ships completed can you recreate this same shot?
