Default Dalta Quadrant 1/2500 Jem Hadar

Here's the build up I did for Eric for the box art after casting these babies. Great kit all around, although masking took a while and a ton of tape! The base is a custom job and is not included in the kit. It's painted entirely in Tamiya acrylics. The supplied window decals have not been applied yet, but otherwise she's done.

Now hurry on down to WF and buy one!

They were the bad guys on Deep Space 9. The ship is crewed by the Jem Hadar who were the drug dependent war slaves of the Dominion, a Delta Quadrant empire run by shape shifters.

Doc, she's about 10" long X 12" wide. Not too big, not too small. It should fit on most any shelf easily.

I masked with Tamiya tape. In the end I went through 1 roll of the 6mm and one of the 10mm as well as a goodly portion of the widest stuff. Only had a couple of places that peeled up, probably didn't clean those areas as well as I should have. All peel ups were easily fixed. The whole thing is painted in custom mixed Tamiya acrylics. Had about 48 hours in total taping time, about 30-45 minutes in actual painting. 2.5 hours of peeling up the tape.

It aint perfect but it'll do I guess.

Thanks, man. I've stuck with the 3M blue tape for years, and never been entirely
satisified with it. I'll have to try the Tamiya.

Looking forward to seeing it with the windows in place-its a nice design.

Toss the blue tape and get some Tamiya. It's more expensive but worth every penny. It's about 1/2 as thick as the blue tape! Try it once you'll never go back.

I must admit Erin, I've tried many 'alternatives' to Tamiya, but none were alternatives! Tamiya's masking tape is superior.

If only we could find the source (actual manufacturer) we could get it cheaper, in bulk, and in even more sizes! As I said, it's more expensive, but it's way worth it.

One of my favorite enemy battleship designs.

That's a real nice buildup Erin. Looks very clean in your pics.

Love the Tamiya tape!
