Thanks Boxster, this thread is definitely worth the bump. C'mon guys, give Sean a few REPs, he does work like this and isn't an RI God yet?

Just amazing work. I'm such a beginner with an airbrush that I wouldn't know where to begin painting something like this.

Sean, this looks exactly like the F1 on display at the Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Museum in Weatherford OK. I actually saw the thing there about 3 years ago on an identical stand/cart. To say I was suitably impressed was beyond and understatement! I tried to imagine what all those millions of pounds of thrust must have felt like booming past the skirts of these engines! I failed.

BTW, T2Sides took the special 50th anniversary of manned space flight award with this F-1 engine model at the IPMS Nationals in Omaha, NE a couple weeks ago. Seeing it in person makes it look even MORE impressive IMHO.
