Ok, I've got a few more updates to show.

First I needed to very delicately paint all of my AA gun mounts:

Next I made a mixture of Payne's Gray, Lamp Oil Black and mostly turpenoid to do a wash in. I wanted everything to have a nice "North Sea" filthyness to it.

I also did the same thing to the hull but I also added a mix of Indian Red and Burnt Umber to a fewof the portholes.

And then after a quick dry and clean wipe of everything to blend it in.

And then a little smokestack PE baffles:

And now I've put on the deck.

Enjoy!

There ya go bro! Nice job on the port holes--- a little subtelty goes a long way!

Like my boy Miles Davis used to say: "It ain't about the notes you play---it's about the ones you don't..."

Thanks guys.

I'm not entrely happy with a few things....like I know I can do better on the guns. I'm going to try to blend the black in a little better with some turpenoid and a Q-tip tomorrow.

But....this is a good stepping stone for my next build. Each one gets better and better.

I finally finished this up. Since I had some issues with the build and there's some areas I am not too happy with I decided to use this build as a "learner" for a few techniques. So I won't be adding any PE railings or crew figures to save them for some other builds.
