Sorry Griff, not since my last post. I didn't realize anyone was following this build so closely. She's awaiting some minor bodywork on the pylons and then a round of scribing for added gridlines on the secondary and warp pylons. Then, we're off to the races on masking and painting for the next two months to get her ready for Wonderfest in May. Plus, there's another ship starting that I'm hoping to design/build/paint by then as well.

In the meantime I'll post this composite:

Minor details added to the bridge band. Somehow I forgot about these.

The Task Force readies itself for the paint booth. Ticon remains on station for moral support.

Somehow I have been asleep and only giving this thread the occassional glance. Wow. Very, very good work.

I love scratch building myself, but have to pause a moment and comment on your Refit Class Ticonderoga so casually hanging around in the background. Awesome paint job on that beauty. Having buried myself in that kit for the last month I am very appreciative on how hard it is to get that puppy to look good.

If you have not posted on it in the past, I for one would love to see some more of her over on the finished models forum.

Thanks for the kind comments John! I have a few more studio pics of the Ticonderoga and I will upload them right now.

The dreaded task of scribing has begun. First, is the necessary design to find the logical placement of a panel line and one that looks good. Next, is the impossible job of getting a straight edge and scribe tool into said area. The hanger doors were scribed (off model) and they are an uneven mess. I'll have to fill them in and start over. The secondary hull scribes started okayÖ unsure how many more I may need versus just painting enough hull detail.
