Old thread, but up-to-date (as of a visit last week) information on one of th questions asked early in the thread for anyone building a Saturn V now - the circular frames at the ends of the 1st and 2nd stages and the top of the fuel tank in the first stage of the real Saturn V at KSC are painted bright gloss yellow rather than orange - the orange in the photo in this thread is a trick of the light/photography. Whether these parts were originally painted that way or whether it was painted up for display I don't know...

Nice build, though, especially for such a hard looking kit!

Very nice build here. I have the same kit that I'm hoping to build it soon. So, your build will be a nice reference point for me. Keep up the good work.
