Thanks all, and thanks KellyJ for the pic. Although, I should point out, I'm using the kit supplied PE. Though I had thought I would have to use some misc PE for that.

Okay, I think main paint is done! I had her swathed in tape and paper for three days, doing the gray and the two-tone black waterline. It's not perfect. I have some paint creep and some paint pull and a couple of PE have been damaged, but it's all recoverable!

I'll hit it with a clear coat in the morning, then use that afternoon to fix the paint and the PE. Then I need to paint and add all the ancillary stuff, such as the tower and guns and spotlights the crane and the remaining PE railings...

Carrying on!

Thank you!

So, barring anymore breaking during the clear coat, she's dun! For now...

I put the anchor on, as well as a short length of chain, just in case it was very visible. Or even slightly visible. The chain has since been painted black.

And I also tackled the name on the stern.

Then it was onto decals, which were either a sinch - or a major pain!

She's not perfect. There are a number of glaring issues, but for my first 1/350 in years, I'm happy with it. And almost done, as there are some things I still want to do, such as some rigging and changing the kit's dinghy with a resin one from Veteran Models.

But that can wait a little bit.

Oh, I hope nothing breaks while clear-coating...
