Default 1/32 scale Academy F/A-18C Hornet






My wife's name is on this jet. She also inspired me with wedding vail material to cover the "Hell Hole" behind the ejection seat.


Don't know where those white specks come from, but they are not there in normal light.






The weathering is pre-shaded, then pastels and water colors finishes it off.

She took 1st Place at Regionals, then took 1st again at Nationals - up against 24 other entries.







Even though everyone loved it, I let my buddy talk me into toning down the over-wing weathering. Look at the difference from my earlier posts. Wish I hadn't done it. My weathering came directly from several references. Being Nats, he suggested not being so bold. But then again, he barely weathers anything he does. LOL
