Default 1:32 BSG Mobius Raider

So I have started my 1st all lighted model including cylon eyes, flickering engines, firing lasers and sound. Its been a tedious build keeping me up at nite contemplating my next move to not miss anything.

The cockpit and 3 cylons were a doozy, to shave bottom of cockpit just enough so it fits and the fiber optic eyes were B#$*!> to say the least. I refit and refit so many times to check each item was working im dizzy..

I have added a few greeblies and piping in the intake, recessed wing inserts and bottom panels to give it a little more realism. I have also ripped the guns off and added girth as you see in pic 1 to pic 5 because the ones that come with it look like toothpicks for this size model (the one on the left is not crooked the camera somehow distorted it).

Now onto paint and weathering....

Thanks for kind words. I have now closed except for permanent setting of cockpit/louvers and painted a base coat of Vallejo USN Light Ghost Grey Primer, Vallejo Black Primer for strips and Vallejo USAF Medium Grey for darker panels.

With the weathering I am using all black & gray pastels (I do not feel comfortable airbrushing as I am horrible with airbrush detailing). I will be brushing over liteley at 1st and darken top front and bottom more gradually as I feel that would be were the most atmospheric friction occurs.

I did not do the 1 rear cylon in gold as I cheaped out and didn't want to spend money on alcad gold bottle for which I most likely never use again hope to be forgiven

More to come as I finish up.

Sooo well done, I especially like the very light weathering and the ominous Terror Trio in the cockpit.

Thanks Sci-Fi
So I spent an entire rainy day trying to finish up. I still have some touch ups, little more weathering and creating a burnt iron look on the steel laser cannons.

Next to seal with a dullcoat and put her on a base. Here's a little vid with sound and lasers fire (lighting kit by starling-tech.com).
