Who knows? Perhaps they're testing sales for the 1/72 Hawk, and if sales indicate enough interest, MAYBE they could be persuaded to produce it in 1/48.

Weren't they also planning on releasing a scaled down 1-72 accurate eagle? Or did I dream that?

LOL and if not, why not? I love the large scale, but jeez, it's LARGE. I'd rather have 3 smaller one in various colors etc than a large one. And the 70s MPC kit is pretty rudimentary.
